Young Voters Respond to Republican House of Representatives Removing Speaker McCarthy

In response to the Republican-led disarray in the House, NextGen PAC President Cristina Tzintzún Ramirez released the following statement:

“Today’s removal of Speaker McCarthy is yet another example of the complete and utter chaos teeming inside the Republican party. Rather than advance meaningful legislation that addresses issues young voters care about, Republicans are instead in-fighting and dividing their own leadership. Time and time again this party is showing us who they are – a selfish, indictment-ridden, out-of-touch group incapable of truly governing – and young people have seen enough.

“From abortion rights to economic justice to climate justice, Democrats continue to show up for young people. Ahead of 2024, NextGen PAC is committed to mobilizing young people for Democrats nationwide, a group of legislators who have proven they will fight for our interests.”
